To prepare Vega Open 2019, Sport Producers worked in close cooperation with waterski experts. The tournament remains the only international water ski competition in Russia.
The main idea behind the event was to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for spectators, while also providing a festive and unifying environment for the athletes. We wanted to integrate sport presentation in order to elevate the competition to a whole new level.
In order to ensure quality live broadcasting, filming was done simultaneously from the ground, waterand air. There was live commentary and music by a DJ, playing summer hits, at the venue. A live stream on YouTube was also provided for athletes and fans who couldn't attend in person.
This tournament combined professional sport production with a natural setting. Instead of traditional award ceremonies, we used creative solutions such as wooden decorations on fir trees and stump podiums to enhance the unique atmosphere.
The event set new standards for waterskiing development in Russia and will be remembered for its organization.
