The first 3x3 hockey tournament and training camp in KHL history was held in June, 2022, at the Mytishchi Arena. 8 teams competed for 4.5 million rubles.

Each team consisted of seven to nine players, including one or two goalkeepers. The OLIMPBET KHL 3x3 Tournament featured KHL superstars such as Sergei Tolchinsky, Nikolai Goldobin, Vladislav Kamenev, Ansel Galimov, Rafael Batyrshin and other top players. The "three-on-three" format allowed for no penalties, no face-offs after goalie helds the puck, no offsides, and no icing and was played on an ice hockey rink surface 28x18 meters.

Sport Producers served as the general contractor for the KHL, which included developing rules, designing and constructing the venue, managing player logistics, organizing off-season training, engaging with fans and TV broadcast. Games were live on KHL TV, with the finals shown on Match TV.
