World’s best karate athletes arrived in Russia! From 4 to 6 October Moscow for the first time in its history staged one of the most important tournaments in the karate world – Karate1-Premier League. Only the top 100 karate athletes in World Karate Federation’s rating are eligible to take part in it.
As this Premier League served as an Olympic qualification tournament for Tokyo 2020, Sport Producers aimed to make the sport accessible.
Karate in Russia is a well-known, but not so popular sport. Not every spectator knows the rules, traditions, or participants of this competition. In order to provide more spectator involvement and to make what was happening on the tatami more understandable and interesting for everyone, Sport Producers provided a service of personal commenting in real-time.

Spectators received free audio-devices in the concession area and listening to Roman Mazurov - one of the best combat arts commentators in Russia. He described the action, introduced athletes, explained karate's philosophy, and discussed events with invited experts.
