500,000 people watching live on TV and 114,000 on YouTube, 24 strongest national teams of the world, 60 minutes of the show – FIVB Volleyball Men’s Championship Russia 2022 Drawing of Lots was held at the Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center on September 30, 2021.
60 minutes: is it a lot? It all depends on how you manage the time. FIVB Volleyball Men’s Championship Russia 2022
Drawing of Lots lasted 1 hour and was broadcasted live on the federal TV-channel “Match TV”. The Drawing procedure, the opening show, the performance of gymnastics, the speeches by officials, the presentation of the mascot and the official song by #2Mashi – Sport Producers managed to fit all these elements in 60 minutes with a well-structured timing in the script.
Dmitry Maslennikov, the choreographer of the show, is one of the most famous directors in Russia nowadays. He gathered the best dancers and created a bright and exciting performance just in a couple of months.
To make this show come true, Sport Producers used 500 square meters of screens, 350 lighting devices and a dozen of fog generator. The motion and color changes of each of the 601 kinetic balls were individually programmed and connected to the movements of the dancers and to the beat of the music.
Each event has its own design and philosophy. The main motto of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Championship Russia 2022 Drawing of Lots is: "It’s electrifying!”. Guests felt the atmosphere from the moment they entered the hall of Irina Viner-Usmanova Gymnastics Center: branding of the 1000 square meters of various surfaces created the whole mood of the event. A multimedia installation where you could not just take a picture but to get a unique VR video content was very popular among guests of the event.
The event was hosted by the world-famous Russian theater and film actor Yuri Kolokolnikov and American former volleyball player Norisha Campbell. The guests were welcomed by the President of the International Volleyball Federation Ari Grasa and the President of the Russian Volleyball Federation Stanislav Shevchenko. However the main volleyball stars of that night were Sergey Tetyukhin, who presented the Cup, Lyubov Sokolova, Vladimir Grbich, Ekaterina Gamova and Taras Khtei, who were managed by CEO of FIVB Fabio Azevedo and pulled the balls out of bowls and therefore decided the fate of the participating teams of the World Championship.
Motivation to fight and to win are the two basic things in every sport.
