Champions cup among national teams, fans dream, full rehearsal of the FIFA World Cup. 4 cities, 16 matches. Sport Producers was involed in 3 separate projects, although, with the same aim – to make it thuely remarkable experience for those, who got lucky to be there: Infotainment, Audio-descriptive commentary and last mile entertainment (the part concerning concept creating) that helped to manage spectators flows before and after the match. Last two – never done in Russia before!
Executing Infotainment (Sport Presentation in FIFA's terms) we were not only directing presentation staff (announcers, DJ's, giant screen feed directors, etc) within the event, we consulted on control rooms design and placement. Most of the control rooms were equipped by Sport Producers, making it reliable and sufficient.Infotainment programme, that was starting 3 hours before the match and was over 1 hour after was completely executed by our company.
Audio-Descritive Commentary was a brand new instrument of Sport Presentation that allowed every spectator to better understand all tiny details of the this wonderful game, even for those, who got there for the first time.
Crowd management is always a challange in Russia. With all this police restrictions and traffic limitations. Managing spectators flow through entertaining activities is, in our opinion, the best way to avoid unpleasant experience when entering and leaving the venue. Thorough understanding the way which activity affects the crowd flow made it possible to completely withdraw police squards from venue's territory. With steward's help, of course.
